Q is for Quartz. #AtoZChallenge on #wellness

QQuartz. Yes, you read that right. I’m writing a post on rocks and wellness.

So what do stones have to do with wellness anyhow?

Do you remember what I wrote with my C post in this series? Everything in this universe is comprised of energy. Some stones come with a special type of energy, which can improve our own energy (also known as chi – life force energy). Some healers use the base knowledge of the Chakra, which I explained in my C post with corresponding stones to heal these energy centers in our body.

Theoretically, the result is improved health and energy.

One of the strongest healing stones around are the clear quartz crystals. Stones such as Rose Quartz, apart from looking pretty, are also known to absorb negative energy and clear a person’s chakra.

Rose Quartz in particular is used to heal the heart chakra and thereby open the throat chakra. Quantum stones.com lists these physical benefits:

“These healing crystals are called upon for protection from negative energies, electromagnetic frequencies, and to bring one health during pregnancy. It is believed that the heart, lungs, kidneys and circulatory systems are assisted when one wears rose quartz healing stones.”

Electromagnetic frequencies referenced above, are those emitted by computers, cellphones and other electronic devices. It is for this reason I always have some Rose Quartz on my computer desk (even at work). Mind you it is a stone I feel particularly drawn to, from childhood – I may be somewhat bias when it comes to Rose Quartz. Yes, there is a story there – it however has nothing to do with wellness so I’ll save it for another day.
