To the blog posts I did not write

You were there lingering

At the forefront of my mind.

Complete with opening lines,

Title names

And formatting options.

But before I penned  a word

Made a few bullet points

Or powered up my computer

I shot you down!

Not because you were not good

Or worthy of composing

But the sudden pulse of life

Needed attending.

A home needed cleaning

Cloths and dishes needed washing

Diapers needed changing

Hugs needed giving

Lessons needed teaching

Hygiene needed applying

Food needed eating

Before I knew

You flew out the door

Blissfully flung

Into the mess hall

Of my conscious thoughts

Which linger in obscurity.

There you are still,

Hoping I may

Once again, stumble

Across the crumpled bit of nonexistent parchment

A reminder that,

It all does not need to be perfect.

So in my unreadable script

I put you down

Into my little pink notebook.

Unorganized thought.

Not resembling any structure.

Un-edited. Impulsive. Raw.

Where you are allowed to be

As you are.

This post is: the first day of it does not need to be perfect. A series of blog post I’m currently writing.

  1. What’s more important, life or blogging? 😉 No, blog posts don’t have to be perfect. Typically for me it goes from idea to clicking publish in 30 minutes and I later see all of the mistakes! Oh well, it doesn’t need to be perfect… Looking forward to seeing all of your blog ideas finally seeing the light of day!
